Again I reference Melissa Horvath’s book YOU GOT THIS.
She offers that “we all look for signs and wonders from God to figure out our purpose in life. We want to know now, in our timing.”
–God, am I a good mother?
–God, should I have helped my coworker?
–God, is this the line of work best suited for me?
–God, is it time to move?
–God, is it time to retire?
–God, is it time to apologize?
–God, shall I pray more?
–God, am I living your way or mine?
Those are tough questions. They beg for affirmation, reinforcement, approval and wisdom.
I don’t have the ability to achieve all that on my own.
Horvath speaks into this dilemma by asking, “Did you ever stop to think that you are where you are for a reason?”
Maybe God wants you to learn all you can there, or maybe the timing has to be right for a change or an answer to be revealed.
God knows so much more than we ever can know.
God’s will for us may be a mystery for a reason.
“For there is still a vision for the appointed time; it speaks of the end, and does not lie. If it seems to tarry, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3
