Love the Lord

17 Aug

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind.” Matthew 22:37

Is that a tall order or a daily goal?

On some days I feel my whole being is immersed in loving the Lord, but truth be told…more frequently I am dodging that dedication as I run here and there thinking about myself more frequently than thinking of the Lord.

What does it mean to love with my whole heart soul and mind?

How much time will that take on a given day? Will it require extra thought and energy?

Does God feel neglected when I offer a “less than” kind of devotion on a given day?

I hope not! I believe God is pleased by what we can give each day.

I hope God feels blessed by me.

I feel blessed by God.

And for this moment I offer my Heart. Soul. Mind.

I believe God cherishes my offering.
