I recently happened upon a website of magnificent Biblical lessons about patience. The website was produced by COUNTRY LIVING, a magazine that speaks of simplicity, ease in managing life, with careful but thoughtful ideas about cooking, gardening, handling family and friends; in general, living life, but not in a haphazard manner.
As I recall, the opening paragraph of the article I saw offered scenarios like bickering kids, long customer service waits, delayed news, family demands and so it goes….
I waft in and out of patience. Sometimes I can walk a long line before that patience switch gets flipped and sometimes I am surprised how quickly I might “lose it.”
Now, I am not going to steal all the wonderful Scripture passages from the pages I read, but rather, I wish to challenge you!
What Biblical messages do YOU find helpful to remember when you are “counting to ten” while taking deep breaths in a heated moment? Here is a start… then after reading my passage what might you add?
Do you have a favorite quote from another source –a story , a song lyric, a friend or some other reminder or mantra that sometimes helps you find patience when needed?
Oh…do tell!

Faithfulness,Gentleness and Self Control!
Galatians 5,22-26 I learned this at a youth retreat as a song and still break into singing when I recite it!
Yay! Thanks for the inspiration!
