2022 is upon us—a far cry from the century/decade when I was younger. Advancements in technology, styles of living and the shrinking of a global world and the merging of cultures and beliefs have brought us many gifts and sometimes concerns because change is not always a welcomed commodity.
Let’s face it, is this the world you dreamed of as a youth? As the rapid pace consumes our living, do we embrace or resist the newness and change? I suspect it is a little of both. I shall admit that for me some changes are great, and others are “meh.”
The word of God addresses change–all with a positive twist.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
I especially like the last one–a superb reminder that some changes are awesome!
Here we go! New year– new people to meet and new things to learn, share and do.
