Value

Value: the definition from my paperback dictionary is this–the importance , worth of something; one’s judgment of what is important in life.

What kinds of things do you value?

–life

–love

–family

–freedom

–money

–meaningful moments

This list could go on and on and while we may rank order our valued things in our own hearts and minds and feel strongly about some things over others, there is no doubt that everyone has values. Yours may not match mine and vice-versa, but we can admit that we all value something.

God values us. After all, we were made in his image, created in love and built to be of his world not just our own little worlds.

What does it mean to be valued by God? It means we are treasured and thought of as important and worthy.

We are worthy of God’s love and the life given to us and God will honor our faithful lives, cherish our worship and await our prayers. God longs to know us and be there for us and God shows us our value every day, if we only tune in to that blessed message.

Psalm 139:13-14

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Thanks be to God.
